One of my all time favorite drinks from Starbucks is the iced green tea latte. But since I'm a gal on a budget, I decided it was time to figure out how to make these at home. So I did! And it tastes delicious.
Here's what you'll need:
1 t Matcha Green Tea (we got ours at whole foods, sometimes it's hard to find)
3/4 c Milk
1 T Vanilla Syrup
and as many ice cubes as you want
Step one, mix a splash of the milk (reserve the rest) and the teaspoon of matcha until the matcha has dissolved.
Next, add the vanilla syrup, the rest of the milk and your ice cubes and then shake your moneymaker all over the kitchen while you shake up your delicious tea.
Oh yea, I forgot the other last part. Just as you go in for that first sip, make sure you drop your glass so that it shatters and spills all over the kitchen and cry until your husband comes to clean up the mess. Then just take it from the top.
Unless you have an extra hour and enjoy cleaning up tiny shards of glass and wiping out the bottom cabinets at 10 o'clock at night.
Just another day at the Gillean's.
But anyway. I hope you like this recipe! Let me know what you think!
