2015 has come and gone but one thing I'm definitely keeping in 2016 is my current beauty routine. I've written before about my beauty staples like my favorite mascara, lip gloss and of course, my beloved Studio Fix Powder. But, there have been some new (and old) favorites added to my everyday routine. And now that I'm finished binge watching Making a Murderer on Netflix, I am ready to share them with you.
I sometimes try new facial cleansers and then I'll countdown the days until they were empty so I could buy more Purity Made Simple cleanser. (We don't waste stuff at the Gillean house that's for sure.) This stuff cleanses, tones and removes the makeup from my skin without leaving it dry.
The Neocutis Bio Cream is hands-down the best moisturizer I've ever used on my face. It's definitely a splurge (about $88 on amazon) but it lasts forever and it's made a huge difference in my skin.
My love affair with Flowerbomb perfume began years ago and we're still going strong. It has such a gorgeous, soft, floral scent! I was very pleased when it was under the tree at Christmas.
I started a major collection of Real Techniques brushes in 2015. They're affordable, durable, multi-purpose and the new Bold Metals collection looks so pretty on my vanity. Tim put the Core Collection in my stocking (this wasn't on my list p.s. he's just that good) and I use the buffing brush for applying my Bare Minerals instead of the brush that actually goes with it because it's so much better.
Speaking of Bare Minerals, it's become my new everyday foundation. I use the Matte Foundation and I've found that it doesn't make my skin super oily and it lasts all day which actually surprised me. It's such a great natural look with just enough coverage.
Last but not least, jewels. I signed up for Rocksbox about four months ago and it's just one of the best ideas ever. This subscription-based service sends me three absolutely adorable pieces a month (or once I send my previous box back) and I can wear them around as long as I like then send them back OR I if I fall in love with something, I can buy it and keep it forever. Like the Kendra Scott necklace pictured above, it's definitely a keeper. I don't really buy alot of jewelry but Rocksbox keeps me accessorized for just $19 a month. And if you want to see for yourself, you can sign up with the code: dianabff157 to try it free for a month!
