A Few of my Fall Favorites

First things first, how adorbs is my front porch? I just need a few more pumpkins.

Ah fall. There are pumpkins everywhere, the leaves are falling, the sunsets are unmatched and there's a chill in the air, in other parts of the country, not Spring Hill, TN. No wonder Thanksgiving is in the fall because how can you not feel thankful with all this beauty surrounding us!

And yay for fall clothes! I love to layer so I'm excited to pull my sweaters out of the guest room closet! Oh and I love everything plaid or flannel. So imagine my joy when I found this black and white buffalo check poncho for $14!

Naturally it made my short list of fall favorites...

1. Buffalo Check Poncho: Walmart (!) can you believe that?!

2. Hot Cinnamon Spice Tea: I actually have to go to the Woodhouse Day Spa to buy this stuff but when I remember to, I get it on amazon. If you've never experience this tea, you must order it now! It's heaven in a cup.

3. Blush: This shade of blush is a makeup bag staple in my opinion. It's Blushbaby by MAC and its absolutely gorgeous.

4. Black Flats: I love boots as much as the next gal but there's nothing better than a good pair of flats to throw on when you're running out the door. I love these Tory Burch Minnie Travel Flats, they are so comfortable! You may have noticed that I was wearing the Revas in photo before but after wearing those for a couple of days, I realized that they were the most uncomfortable shoes in the world. I had blisters!! Luckily, Nordstrom has excellent customer service and had heard my very same sad song about the Reva flats and exchanged them for their comfortable sister shoe, the Minnie!

4 amazing hairproducts - 1 brand

Raise your hand if you hate washing and blowdrying your hair. 🙋🏼

Unfortunately, until we enter the Jetson's space age, it seems we're stuck with this process.

My life's work has been to find the hair products that make styling easier so fear not ladies, someone is working on it.

Several months ago, I was on a typical Sephora run during my lunch break and I came across the line of products from The Drybar. I tried the Triple Sec spray and was instantly hooked. It smelled like absolute heaven and gave my hair amazing texture. This isn't my daily dry shampoo but I definitely use it everyday to add body and texture. Of the many hair products I use on a daily basis, this one is by far my favorite.

Since I loved the Triple Sec so much, I went and picked up the leave-in conditioner, Mr. Incredible, and have completely emptied the bottle in the past week so I need to make another trip to Sephora to pick up another. I have thick hair that is constantly being bleached so getting a comb through it after washing is quite a challenge. Mr. Incredible is actually really incredible!

Last week, I finally grabbed their Happy Hour shampoo and conditioner and wow! My hair feels nourished, not weighed down and smells lovely. The true test was to get through the weekend without washing my hair and it passed! It even survived the road trip to Knoxville for the game. My hair held up quite nicely considering it was 90 degrees and I slept on the trip there!

Have y'all tried anything from The Drybar? What did you think?

XOXO,

Diana

5 Summer Accessories I Can't Live Without

When I was a little girl, I loved summer. Hanging out at the swimming pool all day in my Little Mermaid bathing suit, eating fun dips, playing on the playground and riding my bike for hours were just a few of my favorite hobbies. Don't get me wrong, I'm still a summer girl, but now that I'm a grown-up with a full time job, summer has lost some of it's luster. Perhaps it's because I sweat profusely when I go out to lunch and then pray that my organic deodorant holds up for this last meeting of the day. Oh and to all you teachers and people who get to hang out at the pool all day, keep the instagrams coming because they don't make me jealous at all! *that was sarcasm.

My mom saved my Little Mermaid bathing suit for me and I'm so glad she did! I can't wait to put this on my baby girl someday.

I do however have a new goal: to adapt to the heat so I don't cuss every time I walk outside or get into a hot car. So far all that I've done to work toward this goal is force myself outside when I get home from work. Lately, I've been feeling some FOMO because if there's an activity outdoors, my answer is always a resounding "NO" (unless there's a beach or a pool involved). Okay who am I kidding, I go outside after work because I have to walk to my neighbor's yard so I can get the Pokemon.

Also, side note, I've become one of those people who order hot drinks from Starbucks even when it's 100 degrees outside. I never understood those people and now I've become one. I blame turning 30. Next thing I know I'm going to be drinking hot coffee with my pizza. But none of this has anything to do with this blog post.

This blog post is about accessories (insert heart eye emoji).

Now, I don't know if you're like me, but I will find something I love and then proceed to wear it everyday. Because of this, I like to invest in quality things that I really love instead of having a bunch of things that I just like. On the flip-side, love a good bargain so when I get cute earrings at Target, it's a win-win.

Enter, my summer staples..

1. Tory Burch Gold Miller Sandals These shoes are so great because they can be worn with almost anything. I can dress them down and I can also wear them to a nice dinner.

2. Blue Flash Lens Raybans Yes, these were a splurge but I am in love with this trend of bright, mirrored sunglasses so I had to get in on it.

3. Pineapple iPhone Case by Sonix I am obsessed with all things pineapple so when I saw this phone case I knew I had to have it.

4. Blushes and Gold Necklace This rose gold necklace was the most thoughtful gift from a friend. It has the coordinates from our college dorm freshman year where we met! It's also absolutely gorgeous and dainty!

5. Gold Hoop Earrings from Target My style guru, Lyndsie, was wearing these earrings one day and I had to have them!

Of course my husband is my ULTIMATE accessory. I'm obsessed with him.
