Today's makeup tip serves as a reminder that we should always be prepared for anything. So. I woke up this morning only to realize that there was no electricity in my apartment. My first thought was, omg the zombie apocalypse is happening. Dramatic, yes. But I was half asleep.
Moments like this really put life into perspective. Sure, I like to think I'm the kind of girl who loves camping and could live without electricity if the show 'Revolution' actually became a reality. I could maybe even make it on 'Survivor'. Okay maybe not. But the truth of the matter is, if I can't use a blowdryer or brew a cup of coffee in the morning, I cannot handle it. But the show must go on so I was forced to improvise. I put my hair in a bun and left my dark cave, emerging into the rain.
Since the flashlight app on my phone didn't serve well as a vanity light*, makeup was a challenge so I put it on in the car. Thank the high heavens for Studio Fix by MAC. It's a powder with foundation and I couldn't live without it. It's so easy to put on and it has great coverage. The only downside is that it doesn't seem to last as long throughout the day but it's easy to reapply quickly.
So. Thats my tip. Go out and get yourself some Studio Fix. Even if you have electricity.
*Free idea. Invent an app for proper makeup lighting. I believe that anything is possible.
